Does not eating fat reduce my chances of getting fat?

If I don't eat fat, and eat only other things, for example protein and vitamins, then does this reduce my chances of getting fat? In other words, I will never be fat even if I don't do exercise?

Light workout with cereal diet to reduce fat

I am doing very light workout, e.g. 10 push-ups a day. I want to know that if I keep my diet to cereals with full-cream milk, will it have any effect on my belly fat?
