Which are examples of “higher intensity cardio”? +1, it's so nice when I have an answer to a question start materializing in my head, only to see it better than I envisioned it one screen down. |

When/How to do a comeback to the training regime after a couple weeks break? Dave's pretty much hit the nail on the head, though I'd add that because of the nature of your infection you probably deload your cardio a bit more than your weights. While you've been benched, your weight capacity has deteriorated from not doing anything, but your cardio/particularly lung capacity has probably been actively damaged from coughing/sneezing a lot while fighting your infection. |

What type of program should I do to strengthen the area around the patellar ligament? @DaveLiepmann I am not insulting anyone, that word is rather dangerous on this site. Very few of us (potentially none) are even qualified to dispense medical advice, and even if a few of us are a brief explanation is no grounds to be dispensing it. NOTHING on this site should be considered a replacement for in-person medical advice, and that's extremely important to communicate. |

What type of program should I do to strengthen the area around the patellar ligament? The site doesn't really prescribe programs for people. Since we can't meet you (obviously) we would not have the detailed information we would need to provide a full regimen. What we can do is give you a starting point and enough information to start your rehabilitation...if your question gives enough information about your injury. |
