comment Should I go run slowly or not at all
If you are "very thin" and your goal is "to become bigger and fat" I'm not sure that running will help you achieve that goal without adding resistance or weight training and diet.

Sorry, I can't be of any help as this is beyond my knowledge and probably beyond the scope of the site. There are monitored cardiac exercise programs that would let you know what you can do safely. At the very least I would use a heart rate monitor to see what "pushing" yourself looks like on your heart rate. Good luck.

Are you using a heart rate monitor and has your doctor given you target heart rate ranges and cleared you for training?

comment Foot pain during all exercise - HIIT alternatives?
As @Michael suggest swimming sprints are one way to do HIIT without aggravating foot pain. You can also run in water. I can get an effective Tabata HIIT workout this way. A stationary or recumbent cycle may also be easier on your foot.

Jaw pain when exercising could be a lesser known warning sign of heart attack which is a medical emergency. Although this may be an unlikely cause in your case it would be wise to mention this to your doctor.

This q/a does not really answer your question but it includes a link to a study about protein supplementation in regards to timing of maximal protein synthesis and its effects on muscular hypertrophy, strength, and training session recovery which may be of some help to you.

A PT (physical therapist) or OT (occupational therapist) who specialize in hands (hand therapist) are the best ones to advise you.
