comment Will grip strength automatically increase with deadlift?
@jontyc If the hold is important, maybe add a single-rep set with a hold a minute or two after the AMRAP set? Or, you could add the holds to pull-ups instead.

comment What is a good time to row 10,000m on a Concept C2 rowing machine?
Could you excerpt some of the relevant information on that page, so that it doesn't get lost if the page moves or changes?

comment Will grip strength automatically increase with deadlift?
@jontyc It doesn't always feel like sweaty hands are the problem, but unless they're bone-dry, chalk will help.

What weight are you at? How big are you? Are you using a hook grip? Are you alternating your hands?

comment Strength training for health tips for an endomorph?
If your goal is health rather than maximal strength, then the single thing I would recommend is adding an intense 5-minute metcon either at the end of the lifting session or in a separate workout.

comment How to optimize effort?
@Olav You might want to pick up Practical Programming (Rippetoe and Kilgore) or Science of Sports Training (Kurz), or another book on workout programming.

Estimating, evaluating, and programming to avoid overtraining is a topic that spanned multiple chapters in a book I just finished. Perhaps this question is too broad?

comment Weighted Ruck Marches / Hiking for Aerobic Exercise
The only remotely related places to look I am familiar with are Dan John and Stuart McGill advice on loaded carries, and hiking/camping.

comment What is the scientific explanation for beginning weightlifters' ability to gain muscle and lose fat simultaneously?
I've heard it's harder, and leads to slower strength gains, but I'm not sure if I've really heard it's impossible. I know LeanGains purports to be a -fat/+muscle program, and it's not necessarily for novices.

This detailed personal experience is great, thanks for sharing, Brandon. (Though personally I wouldn't go low-fat, it certainly worked for you.)
