Finding the correct Marathon Pace @RyanMiller I could never run the 3:30 marathon pace, even in training. I ran a 1:50 half as my best ever. A 47 minute 10K. But never could hold it for long enough. |

Finding the correct Marathon Pace I find it amusing that I am a total outlier on Yasso 800's. I have run fairly consistent 800's in training, over 8 years or so, around 3:30's. But my best Marathon time ever is 4:07. But then I accept I am an outlier on many things. (Big and heavy). |

Going to compete 5km outdoor breaststroke @Ruben Darn. There is a cool 1 Mile swim Brooklyn to Manhattan, under the Brooklyn bridge, then 1.2 Miles around Liberty Island, 3M across the Hudson at the Tappen-Zee bridge, here in NY/NJ. My longest is on 2.4K at Ironman,. |

How to avoid hyponatremia(drinking too much water) when hiking? @Gapton The main reason for non-table salt sources is that it can be pretty hard to take at times. Sometimes you can, sometimes you cannot. Getting it in food is a lot easier and more palatable. However sometimes it can be hard to get enough salt any other way. |

How to organise a second weekly run session? To be fair Tempo is not necessarily on a track. I prefer to do it on the street, where I bike out, mark with chalk, spray chalk the K marks. Then set out two or three such routes and rotate through them. |

Realistic best time for 5k? I am 6'2" as well, but at 235lbs my 5K best time was 23:00 or so. But that was after a long season of speed work (reps of 200, 400, 800 or 1600 meters on the track) once a week and a tempo run every week. Took a lot of work to get there. |
