I play flag-football and enjoy going to the gym. As far as time allows it, I also play volleyball and go inline-skating or ice-skating.

How much muscle gain can be expected within 1 month of training on average (m/w) To be more specific, it is a low-carb diet where carbs are only allowed in the morning and before/after training sessions. The rest of the day mostly protein and fat. The average calorie intake is about 2500 calories per day. |

Which activities are OK during resting days? I gave the reason already in my initial question: "I am sitting at home during the days I should spend resting but I have too much energy left and need to get out." My current progress is quite nice. |

How to build muscles and lose fat quickly within weeks? But wouldn't the average fad diets lack the necessary nutritions to build muscles? Or do you have a specific diet in mind? |

How to handle increased appetite after intense training days? I usually combine them, with the exception of protein shakes, which I consume about 3 or 4 times a week, when I feel I didn't get enough proteins with normal food. |

How can I reduce trembling during training? I did some body building about 10 years ago for several years, took a few years off and after restarting this is the end of my second year of body building. |

200 situps in combination with 100 pushups 6 week program? +1: Those trainings may sound like a great idea, but a more balanced approach is way better for your body. |

How to prepare the body for workout in the early morning? @DaveLiepmann - I usually do 10 to 15 minutes cardio with a heart rate of maybe 120 bpm and follow up with joint rotations. Finally a stretch those muscles that I want to train that day. In addition I do a warm-up set on each machine with very little weight before I start the real sets. This means I do 4 sets on all machines, the first being just to warm up. |

How to choose the right protein shake? I honestly would love to do that, but my current situation does not allow me to keep farm animals. |

How to choose the right protein shake? I want to reduce meat intake to be more responsible for the environment. First world countries consume way too much meat considering what we are able to produce world wide. I don't want to go to the extreme and turn vegetarian because I strongly believe that this is not a healthy lifestyle, but reducing meat intake is a goal I want to achieve. If there are good reasons why protein shakes would be even worse for the environment than pure meat, let me know. In that case changing wouldn't be the best idea ;). |

How does my resting heart rate influence my target heart rate? Thanks for the advice so far, I got everything I needed to know. Lactic threshold test would be too much for me, because I don't train for a high class endurance event and a rough estimate is good enough right now. |

How does my resting heart rate influence my target heart rate? This would mean a THR of 144,26 for me. Sounds reasonable and would fit into the diagram in fitness.stackexchange.com/questions/1015/… for my age. |
