What should I look for in electronic measurement of body composition? About accuracy- the important thing is to measure small changes in short times. But my assertion is that for instruments measuring the same way it is probably not a big difference |

What should I look for in electronic measurement of body composition? I think handheld sensors might not be accepted in the bathroom :-) |

What is the difference between one and several sets - With the same level of soreness? If I get 80% of the effect of 2 sets with just 1 set, it sounds like a good deal :-) |

What is the difference between one and several sets - With the same level of soreness? I have usually been doing 8-12. Usually close to max. |

What is the difference between one and several sets - With the same level of soreness? If one set max doesn't give significant soreness we can compare a few sets with a higher number of sets. |

What is the difference between one and several sets - With the same level of soreness? Limited by soreness (and with significant soreness). For a beginner Say 5-15 rep range for 1 set. |

To what extent is strength training about optimal breakdown of muscles (Its not my question anymore) I don't "keep dropping facts I think I know", I am stating my assumptions. You are right that it doesn't directly relate to my question, as my question was about the gain-side. I think overtraining is an example of a negative effect which is a bit different than the local phenomena I am referring to. I don't think it is uncommon in some groups. |

To what extent is strength training about optimal breakdown of muscles i am more looking at the gain-side, but I will look at it. The relation on the pain-side is quite clear to me (But I might be wrong (overtraining seems to be common in bodybuilding, and is perhaps a bit different than just breakdown). |

To what extent is strength training about optimal breakdown of muscles I see that the FAQ calls for a practical question. That would be how to balance pain against pain in cases where breakdown++ is quite important on both sides. |
