I'm the user formerly known as md5sum, for those who wonder.

Currently, I'm a developer in the Property & Casualty Insurance division of Accenture Software.

I started playing with GWBASIC on our Commodore Colt at around 5 years old, and it was all downhill from there. I have now been programming professionally since 2005 and have several more years of part-time/freelance programming under my belt as well.

Currently, I'm specialized in C#, ASP.Net 2.0, and MSSQL, but my work experience is quite broad, including C++, PHP, Javascript, WPF, VB6, VB.Net, ASP.Net, MySQL, and I've dabbled in many others.

"Gear and gadgets used during exercise" are on-topic for this site. I think this would include running shoes. However, you might rephrase this question as "How can I avoid getting blisters with my Nike Hyperfeel shoes?" and define how you are using the product to come up with that result. This way you are presenting the problem that you have with the gear itself, and not asking a question which could be considered far more "opinion-based." There may still be a lot of YMMV in the answers that could be provided, but you'll get some good ideas as well.

I'm not sure what kind of "mental boost" you're expecting here, either. When I work out I give it my absolute best, and when I'm finished, I'm often barely able to walk to my car. However, I FEEL great, mentally speaking - almost like a sort of high... could have something to do with my ridiculous heart rate that I maintain for an hour straight while working out though, too...

The only way I know of to tell if your "bones are still 'grow-able'" is to have an image done of your bones, like an x-ray. This will reveal whether or not you still have growth plates, meaning your bones are still forming. At your age, however, you could continue to grow for several more years.

If you are truly at significantly great risk of health problems, you need to speak to your doctor about getting a fitness and nutrition plan. Otherwise, there are lots of great answers to this question already on this site, including the one linked above.

I'm don't think this really answers the question either - "Scientifically, why do they say to do compound exercises to get massive, rather than isolation exercises?"
