I'm the user formerly known as md5sum, for those who wonder.

Currently, I'm a developer in the Property & Casualty Insurance division of Accenture Software.

I started playing with GWBASIC on our Commodore Colt at around 5 years old, and it was all downhill from there. I have now been programming professionally since 2005 and have several more years of part-time/freelance programming under my belt as well.

Currently, I'm specialized in C#, ASP.Net 2.0, and MSSQL, but my work experience is quite broad, including C++, PHP, Javascript, WPF, VB6, VB.Net, ASP.Net, MySQL, and I've dabbled in many others.

comment Is going to bed hungry going to help me trim fat?
Please explain why you believe that eating 3-4 hours is best. Also, how will healthy snacks keep you fit? Isn't it better not to eat snacks at all?

comment Can drinking a glass of hot water prevent caloric expenditure due to heat gain?
I'm not entirely sure this is off-topic, and I've reworded it a bit to bring it better into scope. We have other questions on the same topic which have not been marked as off-topic. See Does being cold help lose weight?.

comment I am skinny, would joining a gym make me skinnier?
"Joining" a gym won't do anything but cost money ;) Working out at the gym could possibly make you lose weight, though. How exercise will effect you depends largely on the exercise and your diet. You'll need to add some more information about how you plan to work out for us to be able to give you a very good answer.

comment Can I get sugar and electrolytes from natural sources, as opposed to goo, during a race?
People bring various forms of food stuff with them on runs all the time anyway... drinks, gels, energy bars, etc. I would imagine it would be totally feasible to carry other, more natural food sources instead.

Just out of curiosity, if Mon/Wed/Fri was working well for you, why did you switch it up? I find the age-old adage quite useful here - "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

comment Lifestyle is extremely bad & started developing problems
If you are having chest pains/weakness in the heart, anything you do needs to be approved by a doctor. We cannot give medical advice here, and we can't really make good suggestions under the circumstances. General information about the topic of lifestyle change can be found in many of the questions and answers on this site. I'm going to close this as too localized. If your visit to the doctor yields results that you have to fit into, feel free to ask questions regarding how to stay in the limits set by your doctor. And good luck with it all!

comment Will this workout help to reduce my weight?
@Ajay - Welcom to Physical Fitness! I've converted your previous "answer" to a comment on the answer it seems to be a response to. If you have further follow-up questions, we'd love to answer them in an entirely new question. If you have any questions about this site and how it typically operates, feel free to check out our about page or, once you have 20 reputation, join us in the chat rooms.
