I'm the user formerly known as md5sum, for those who wonder.

Currently, I'm a developer in the Property & Casualty Insurance division of Accenture Software.

I started playing with GWBASIC on our Commodore Colt at around 5 years old, and it was all downhill from there. I have now been programming professionally since 2005 and have several more years of part-time/freelance programming under my belt as well.

Currently, I'm specialized in C#, ASP.Net 2.0, and MSSQL, but my work experience is quite broad, including C++, PHP, Javascript, WPF, VB6, VB.Net, ASP.Net, MySQL, and I've dabbled in many others.

@Greg - lean muscle requires more calories than fat or fatty muscle, simply having more muscle enables you to eat more and not gain fat. The amount that they eat still applies against their daily caloric burn.

@Greg - the point is the carbohydrates (sugar) in this scenario (if it were true). The carbohydrates will give you a bigger energy boost faster than fat or protein will.

@Greg - Excess will consist of everything you ate that you didn't burn.

@Greg - sorry, I apparently didn't submit it. The hormonal state will still not account for excess calories. At best you will stall any attempts at weight loss, and at worst you will gain weight. Your body absolutely will put energy to repairs first, but it will still convert excess to fat.
