I'm the user formerly known as md5sum, for those who wonder.
Currently, I'm a developer in the Property & Casualty Insurance division of Accenture Software.
I started playing with GWBASIC on our Commodore Colt at around 5 years old, and it was all downhill from there. I have now been programming professionally since 2005 and have several more years of part-time/freelance programming under my belt as well.
Currently, I'm specialized in C#, ASP.Net 2.0, and MSSQL, but my work experience is quite broad, including C++, PHP, Javascript, WPF, VB6, VB.Net, ASP.Net, MySQL, and I've dabbled in many others.

Do people who lift weights twice per week need less protein than people who lift three times per week? @MikeS - All supplements are just "FOOD" if ingested... I fail to see your point. And I don't think anything in my first paragraph is "common knowledge". Additionally, the page you link to seems to be refuting the "max absorption per meal myths" and not the RDAs set out by the scientific community. |

What's the benefit of a long tendon and short muscle belly in the forearm? So, is this something that can be effected significantly through exercise or fitness? |

Is there any stretch (or place I can apply pressure) that specifically targets the ACL? Ah, I took that example as "you could have a friend do this"... |

Is there any stretch (or place I can apply pressure) that specifically targets the ACL? We don't want scans of books and stuff, that definitely violates copyrights. I was just hoping for a stock picture of a leg/knee with an arrow drawn on it or something and a description of how to manipulate it. |

Is there any stretch (or place I can apply pressure) that specifically targets the ACL? Some diagrams on the "anterior drawer test" as well as some more info (names? brief description?) of the other possible tests for an injured ACL would make this answer exceptional. I do suggest moving the warnings about having a professional take a look at it closer to the top, and add any warnings specific to the tests (like if you yank the leg up too hard on the anterior drawer test, I believe that can actually INJURE the ACL if it isn't already messed up) to the answer. |

Is there any stretch (or place I can apply pressure) that specifically targets the ACL? Considering that the knee has undergone surgery, you would still consider pain in that knee and not the other one to be due to an asymmetrical gait? Also, can you identify the "trigger point" and point it out in a picture or something? I definitely agree with not stretching ligaments, as well as limiting stretching entirely, and was glad to see that in this answer. |

So am I at a calorie deficit now? Weighing your food is far more precise than the guesstimates on the packages and on most prefilled calorie counters. For instance, a red apple may have 77-116 calories so eating 10 apples could throw you up to 400 calories off in your total count for the day, depending on what the counting program uses as a basis for their count of a "serving". |

Why are pyramid sets often advised for bodyweight exercises? @JohnP - most of the exercises that they did either pyramid or as you call them "strip" sets on were using dumbbells. When you're trying to work to the point of failure, dumbbells are a heck of a lot safer... |

Trying to lose weight, two questions They've come a long way in the last few years... a lot of the reason why some of the well-known and established diet plans and stuff that have been proven to work are "reviled" is because of extremists and crazy people... nobody likes an extremist... check out that video I posted on @Boris' answer that talks about the full cycle of sugars in the body. I think it speaks volumes about how much further our understanding has come. |

So am I at a calorie deficit now? Personally I'd argue with the elliptical calories burned, I've never seen those as accurate at all. However, you should be well over a 1500 calorie deficit if all your count and figures (including BMR) are accurate. That might actually be a bit too much of a deficit by many opinions. |
