comment Training for strength: How is my training regimen and diet combo?
thanks for the helpful tips. The reason why I try to max out is because I've been told that maxing out is how you get stronger. Low rep low intensity on the other hand is not as helpful. How true is this?

comment Bench pressing and deadlift on even days, squat and pull up on odd days. Is this all I need?
so I shouldn't be alternating days back to back? I've been so far working out 5-6 days a week. So 3-4 means that I can rest 1-2 days in between workouts correct?

@JohnP like I said, stronger and buffer. How much more specific need I get? And what I'm doing now has little to do with the validity of a method that I want to try.

comment What is the correct plan to transition from normal to handstand push-ups?
@Greg But I would assume that the benefits of shoulder widening still applies for handstands?

I haven't tried doing a handstand pushup because I didn't think i was strong enough. I'm also not quite sure what muscles the handstand works, so even if I'm good at pushups I might not have all the right muscles for handstands. I'll take a look at those workout systems you recommended, thanks!

comment Pushups for muscle mass, fast or slow?
i'm 160lbs 6ft tall. I always eat a lot of carbs and protein for dinner, right after the workout.

i'm doing as directed by the onehundrepushups program. The program focuses only on increasing rep, which isn't all that useful. Should I mix things up by having one day do all fast reps, next day negative reps, and another diamond pushups?

comment 200 situps in combination with 100 pushups 6 week program?
there are also a program for pulling and back strengthening, maybe I could work those in somehow? The only reason why I'm a bit hesitant to do pulling and pushing together is that they might interfere with one another.
