Atlas stone experience? Yes, I think this needs to be edited to ask a specific question about Atlas stones. Right now, I read it as asking for general anecdotes which makes this not such a good fit for Stack Exchange. |

Body's adaptations to training in hot conditions? Personally, I don't have a problem with this question - seems like an easy jump from Roger Federer to the OP wondering how these training conditions may help or hinder. |

Overhead Squat Assistance Work @masonk Ah sorry, I misread that 175 was a 15RM, not a 1RM; my bad. So maybe the goal is not quite so far away, but just do the movement and your flexibility specific to that movement will develop. Snatches are very relevant too, of course (OHS is usually used as an assistance exercise for those). |

How much glycogen is burned in weightlifting? I like the strategy as well - good guestimation. Per @JohnP's comment in his answer, you can also arrive at a number by working backwards from calories. Your estimated range seems plausible from that perspective (even if some calories come from elsewhere, per MeadeRubenstein's answer), so good that both methods at least end up in the same ballpark. |

Overhead Squat Assistance Work I tend to think you should just do the lift with a weight you can handle. The necessary flexibility will come with time. Have to agree with @DaveLiepmann that this goal is fairly far off with a bodyweight of 173 (per your profile) and a FS of 175. Linear progression; probably sets of 5 are optimal for now. |

Is taking a set to failure recommended for any type of lift or goal? Planning for a failure scenario can help you to do it safely. For example, do squats in a power rack or loaded with bumper plates and performed on a platform - in both cases you can fail safely. Obviously, you need to be aware of your body and dump the bar immediately if anything feels wrong. |

What is starvation mode? Removed off-topic message. Although I disagree that this is off-topic, I'm removing the text because that belongs as a comment on the question, not as part of an answer. |

What should I do if I can't complete my program's prescribed workout? In a Texas-type system, the first day is supposed to provide the growth stimulus for the week. I'd think the way to address it would be either doing more reps at lighter weight or shifting the entire week back a day (including a retry of day 1). |
