comment Is it fine to train in the sauna?
My guess is that overheating is bad and you may pass out. Your post begs the question: WHY would you want to do that?..

comment Are carbs the enemy?
Everything is good in moderation, and all diets, including no-carbs ones, require accomodation. If you cut off simple carbs abruptly you may actually start eating more because satiety is a complex thing and fats alone are often not enough for it. You may eat a plate of meat and feel full yet still hungry.

comment Cause and prevention of post-race headache
My experience: I only get a headache when I'm underhydrated, and for me 20+ km distances require more water per km than shorter ones. Will you get headaches if you drink, say, twice as much water?

comment How much fiber should I (not) eat?
If this statement was made in relation to fiber consumption, then it is partially true: very little dietary fiber is processed by human bowels, if any.

comment How much fiber should I (not) eat?
@Informaficker: «what isn't needed simply gets through untouched» — this is a dangerous assumption. I am seeing it quite often on the internet and I am not sure where it comes from, but it contradicts reality: people who eat more than they need become obese.

comment Should I run everyday or alternate days and run longer?
I'd go with 50 minutes 3 days a week (actually I run 80 minutes 1 or 2 days a week). This enables you to burn more fat because AFAIK you don't start burning fat in significant amounts until your glycogen stores are depleted, which happens after 30-40 minutes of jogging. Also you save some preparation and setting down time.

comment What are exercise a kidney patient can do?
Is jogging really OK for kidney patients? In Russia all kidney patients I've heard of were specifically forbidden from jogging by their doctors. Having a kidney disease also exempts men from compulsory service in the Russian army. I guess the reasoning behind it is that when you jog you slowly dehydrate your organism and leave it in dehydrated state for longer periods, which increases the concentration of urine, which then increases the probability of accumulation of minerals in bladder/kidneys («kidney stones») (but I'm not sure since I'm not a doctor).

comment Where does protein come from if muscles are built and repaired at night?
@DaveNewton proteins have to be «digested» (broken down into amino acids) by enzyme protease before it can be used to build muscle.

comment How to lose waist fat?
Technically it's not a myth, there is at least one way to achieve it: liposuction.

comment How to lose fat even if “fit”?
Oh, and if you do a lot of abdominal muscle exercise you will have nice abs but it will still be hidden behind fat.

comment How to lose fat even if “fit”?
Long non-stop (60+ minutes, the more the better) aerobic exercise, e. g. jogging twice a week with heartbeat at ≈140 bpm, is pretty effective, at least it worked well for me and a couple of my colleagues.
