comment Why do so many fitness websites still reference somatotypes?
On my reading it suggests there are links between genetics and somatotypes, but no link to personality.

You will find interesting discussion on this over on skeptics.stackexchange.com/q/19943/619 - importantly, it looks like there is evidence. I'm just focusing on the physical aspects, not the behavioural/personality ones.

comment In bodybuilding, how do I train my traps and lats without involving my biceps?
You do understand where your lats attach, right? They don't just go straight down, but run at an oblique angle. Twisting sit-ups work really well on them. Similarly, wide grip pull downs are all lats and tris.

comment Are there any recommended exercises to help manage a torn rotator cuff?
I flagged it for a close too - while I hoped there may be generic answers that would work, I think the specifics mean it just can't be answered that way:-)

comment Are there any recommended exercises to help manage a torn rotator cuff?
In the end, we had a look at the exercises @JohnP suggested, but she didn't have enough flexibility without pain, so decided not to really go for them. The physio developed targeted exercises specific to her condition. So I'm thinking this question should maybe just be closed.

Thanks John and David - yes, she has got an appointment next week with a physio. I'll send her that link though as it may be useful.
