I want to run but have a bad knee. How should I deal with it? @gunbuster363 - the cost of a blown acl or serious knee injury is more than the cost of a Dr's visit with xray |

Buying barbell / rack I agree with Sparafusile - look on Craigslist - there's a lot of people who've brought weights and have never used them. I would recommend a month or two at a local gym to get the feel of the weights and get some personal training on them (sounds like your new to lifting). You'll need a weight lifting program which the personal trainer could help with. Good luck and go for it. |

Can I do push ups every day? @gruszczy -3 months is a long time. The problem with body weight exercises is that you can' take weight off - HOWEVER - you can modify the pushup by doing them inclined (against a bench for instance) - so, push to 65, incline and do 10 more. I had (and currently have) some plateau issues and it's 90% mental...sometimes we just put a mental block in front of us. SO - 65 regular + 10 incline and each week push one or two more regular ones in. |

Can I do push ups every day? @gruszczy - how long have you been at 65 in a single set? and how long have you been doing push ups? (looks like your at 130 per day) |

Can I do push ups every day? are you doing 65 in one shot? or in sets? try doing sets of 20, taking anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes breaks inbetween and see if you can past 65 - if not increase the rest period |

Is maintaining really so bad? @Berin - I was taught the most important area to develop in the martial arts was 'heart' - aka: it's the size of the fight in the dog not the size of the dog in the fight...strength, technique, speed all are secondary to that. |

Proper way to do the Dead Bug I'm not sure if there's any 'right' way - if you're not feeling it try holding light weights in your hand. I do it with my feet off the floor and hands off the floor and focus/tension on my core/abs... |
