How do I perform an assessment workout? @RyanMiller looking to complete for the moment. Goal is to complete by end of 2013. Eventually I may get into competing but for now it's purely a motive to get back into shape, and accomplish something. |

How do I perform an assessment workout? @RyanMiller I'm definitely not the best of swimmers. I know how to swim, but not effectively. I know how to bike, but I don't know how to race. |

How do I prevent chafing? Let's try to prevent just posting links. Try summarizing them and explaining what they say. This isn't meant to be a 'link library'. |

How do I prevent and/or treat dehydration? While I agree that every workout and every person is different with each situation, do we really need to worry about the specificities of this type of topic? I'm looking for a general approach as I'm a runner, go to the gym, live in hot AZ, vacation in cold CO, etc,. @wdypdx22 |

Do different workouts require different diets? I would edit the first part of the question as it's already been addressed, and make sure the focus is on the varying exercises. @SamBee |

What is a “Runners High”? @Jdelage This experience is a natural thing, and is something that is good overall. There is, to my knowledge, no ill sideeffects. |

Should I drink water before, during or after eating? Do you have anything to backup that drinking water at anytime during the meal has no difference? |

Should I drink water before, during or after eating? This provides no detail or reference to your hypothesis, and therefore is just that. This should probably be a comment, more than an answer. |

Should I drink water before, during or after eating? +1 as my father had to stick to a very regimented diet after Gastric Bypass Surgery where he couldn't drink water 30 min before a meal and 20 min after. I've always wondered why. |

Do sports drinks make a difference in a workout? @JDelage do you have a reference, or link or study to back that up? |

What is a “Runners High”? @Jdelage Clearly you've never experienced this "state of being". It's quite an enjoyable experience once you get it. I't almost an accomplishment in my opinion. |

What are some good exercises for a beginner to do with an Excercise Ball strength and flexibility of what? We can't really give you a good answer until you ask for a few more specifics. |
