comment Walking vs. Running Shoes
What do you mean? You want me to back up that landing on the balls of your feet is better then landing on your heels? Clearly people can have have different running forms, but there are some constants that dictate what is good running form and what is bad form. Running on the balls of your feet is considered good for the reasons I stated in my answer. Like I said in my answer, this is based on research that I have done. If the poster does a little research, they would find similar information.

comment What are good cardio exercises for a one legged man?
this is off topic but for the phantom pain I heard about this one experiment they in my Mirror Neuron System class where they showed and amputee the other limb in a mirror or something like that. it fooled the brain into thinking that the phantom limb was actually there. that allowed people to remedy whatever they felt on the phantom limb. :P I dunno if you've heard anything about that.

What about jump roping? That seems like it would do alot! It's great exercise, and if you can do it will probably also improve your balance.

comment Will wearing ankle weights all day long make any difference?
Yea I'll agree that the amount of weight makes a difference. But also fat is a different story. It is "natural" weight in the sense that it is internal, has a different distribution and more support than and external weight would have. And coincidentally, people store most of their excess fat near the core, not extremities. So our bodies are really not made to store fat at the extremities.
