You learn training by doing it, not by reading it. It's quite simple. Hard work and attitude over the course of many years gives you the knowledge that you need to make constant gains. Stretch, lift, run. Don't overthink it. Keep it simple.

O ya...since the internet doesn't lie I squat 3000 KILOS and bench 25...thousand pounds

comment Neural Adaptation Training vs. Hypertrophy Training?
first off thank you for your response. this is an excellent analysis where you couple neural training to become basically a reflex. Yes after doing the exercise over and over again the body becomes accustomed to the levels of stress and that's when big breakthrough and personal records can occur in events such as track and field. Your last paragraph is exactly what I am looking for but didn't have the words like you did to explain. Basically if you gain more muscle through hypertrophy training, can that result in a higher magnitude of fast twitch muscle fibers?

Christian, eat all the german quality food you want. You can buy weight gainers, creatine and some protein powders at your local supermarket if you really don't feel like cooking HUGE meals each and every time. There is no "secret", just hard work put into eating. You have a beautiful dilemma opposed to most Americans facing obesity so go hog wild on any kind of food. Bfast, lunch and dinner should be a good amount and throw in some snacks every now and then.

comment Resuming workouts after 2 months. Any beginner workout suggestions?
Agreed! Depending on your previous work capacity in the weight room and training in general he might bounce back to his previous shape within 2-3 weeks. Concept called "old man's strength", where the body remembers a specific weight, body composition. The human body is essentially a habit machine and that's what makes it hard to do technical improvements in sports mainly because you want to go back to old habits...hence athletes train 4-5 hours a day trying to overcome their techniqual habits.

comment How much weight would I need to gain if I increased my deadlift by 50 pounds?
Technique baby! Force your knees out on the pull so the bar is more in line with your hips (thus the bar travels in a straighter path = less work), keep that chest up on the pull and at the starting position flex your lats and imagine there is a $100 bill you are squeezing together with you shoulder blades (keep that position the whole time). Your deadlift will skyrocket considering you don't have good technique. :-)

Agree 100% with you JohnP. Chocolate milk is an absolute winner when it comes to price, carb to protein ratio and obtainability. Not to mention it tasks great and really spikes that insulin effectively (from the sugar) to allow an insurgence of nutrients into your muscles.

@RobinAshe sounds like a bunch of BS but i respect your input on saying squats can be dangerous. Yes, with improper form and physical obstacles forcing you not to sit deeper than you do on the toilet, squats can make or break or day. Still IMO the best exercise on the face of the planet. Any athlete who squats ATG controlled and correctly has excellent mobility.

@BackInShapeBuddy thanks buddy! Increase that torque flexibility to get more distance on your golf drive! (just one of many sports it helps) ;-)

comment Are there any harmful side effects to working out just your arms?
my young friend, at 15 years old this will not really make a substantial difference at the moment. Your still developing and I am sure (hope!) that you are especially active. Play around with different movements but focus more on sports instead of lifting for right now in all honestly.
