Burn fat and gain muscles at same time Why are you eating whey isolate when you could just eat food? 60g a day is a pretty easy target to hit. |

Bowflex and similar systems versus free weights I had understood that Bowflex systems were more akin to free weights than typical machines, in that they will work stabilization muscles. |

Are multiple lighter deadlifts better than single heavier maxes? I'm talking more about the speed at which the reps are done — how fast you move your muscles when they are moving. Some say that moving them slowly is much more useful, and that the theory of rep counts is based on doing reps much more slowly than most people do. 6 seconds per rep seems to be the ideal. bodybuilding.com/fun/greg8.htm |

Are multiple lighter deadlifts better than single heavier maxes? How much difference does rep cadence (i.e. time under load) make? |

Is standing for long hours harmful to your knees and feet? @Ivo: Fair enough, good point. Though standing for hours at a time does constitute "exercise" and burns a significant number of calories. Some people do, in fact, choose to stand at a desk rather than sit in order to help maintain or improve their fitness. |

Are amount and location of knee pain good indicators of what is wrong? @Haphazard: I'm not bothered by the pain, I just see it as a symptom of potential more serious problems. I really wouldn't want to mask symptoms of an injury. |
