Lose weight or Gain Muscle? Im suggesting quite the opposite - do strength TRAINING, but eat less/better. What I am saying is that a caloric deficit combined with lots of aerobes is not good. And if your goal is a toned, pleasing physique, doing bulking then cutting is a way around, not straight to the point. |

30% Body fat, what habits should I adopt? "in some animals" seems to be a big thing. Also, to have an overal week deficit of those calories, you would have to make sure that the dieter wont try to "make up" for the fasting on the next day. I believe that the effects of such fasting on insulin tolerance, basic metaboli rate, hunger, tissue regeneration after training, total energy expenditure etc. have not been tested. Ive heard of intermittent fasting, but im not a fan, since nobody exactly explained how or why it works, besides "just eating less". Just eating less works, but is not optimal and does not guarantee FATloss. |

What I should watch out for when training with an anomaly of closure the spinal arch? First of all, i guess an x-ray or other form of direct checking your state would be necessary for anyone to help you. That means that this question wont hold any value to anyone else - they may have the same condition, but their particular spine wont be exactly like yours. Therefore the question is too localized, as it will help only you. Also, as I said before - such medical issues cant be discussed via the net. People study physiotherapy for years to learn how to help people, and always craft their methods to the specific patient. We cant be a substitute for that. Please see a specialist. |

Outdoor gyms equipment/machines What I am willing to do is move my butt three times a week and do some kind of routine, provided that I dont need access to any particular equipment (a bar for pullups is fine). Iam willing to keep up the dietary changes that are working for me right now. I would like some help on deciding on a particular plan that fits my needs. It does not need to make me a professional athlete or squat 500lbs. I talked about Stronglifts, because that is what has been recommended here over and over for people with needs similar (but not identical) to mine. |

Outdoor gyms equipment/machines "you have not clearly explained your goals or that you are willing to work towards them" - I tried to edit my question to clarify. Actually I believe my goals are quite clear. I dont like the way I look, so I am trying to improve it. I have a slouching problem and Im trying to fix it. Im not exactly fit/functionally strong/have endurancje, so I try to improve. For my convinience and for the sake of sticking to it, I want the rountine to be possibly equipmentless and non colliding with other activities i might want to do. I dont need a specialised one, I need a reasonable one that fits my needs |

Is going to bed hungry going to help me trim fat? This user is new, provided 2 answers in 2 different sites, everyone of them has a reference to some sort of product. I think this user is a SEO bot-worker |

What I should watch out for when training with an anomaly of closure the spinal arch? Im afraid none of us is quallified to answer such a qeustion, as it is about a medical condition. I'd guess that not even a doctor could help you via net. I strongly suggest you consult a specialist and ask him exactly those questions that you posted here :) |

What are the benefits/side effects of taking CLA for weight loss? @JohnP Im feeling youre a bit of a wording nazi here. We are talking a strict supplementation question, not a nutrition question per se, like "is eating breakfast good for you". If Rodney asked "how will taking CLA affect my weightloss training efforts and does it involve any risks?" would it be OK? Supplementation IS RELATED TO PHYSICAL FITNESS. People not aiming at physical fitness goals dont ask about supplementation ;) |

I am 15, what is a recommended non bull-crap workout routine? When asking if a routine is good, you have to ask "is it good for X"? There are routines for strength, for mass, for weight-loss... And they are all different. Please state your goals, and once you know them, search the site for routines that accomplish what you want - im sure there already are tips for any goal you might have. |

Need exercise recommendations for abs, triceps and biceps to incorporate into Stronglifts 5x5 The biceps and triceps are small muscles compared to some others. What is more, the whole point of doing big, compound movements is that you dont have to dabble with every single muscle in your body: youre getting the best fuctional strength, because youre doing actual functional movements - pulling, pushing and lifting. Read a bit about 5x5 and Starting Strength, there is more to it than just the workplan. Who told you that using 5x5 makes you have "t-rex arms"? |
