comment Can I remove the nasty rubber smell from new equipment?
Like I said never tried it just heard it. I would only try when desperate ^^. Here is something I found after a quick google doesn't say if they tried the oven and if it worked. But (low) heat seams to be key in loosing the plasticizers. bbs.homeshopmachinist.net/threads/…

The only other method I heard of except letting it sit in open air for a few days is heating it for a few hours (around 70deg Celsius in an oven) but I never tried it so can't say if it works and if the rubber is ok afterwards. A strong rubber smell usually indicates cheap plasticizers...

read somewhere that it makes your voice deeper but don't think that works... I do combat sports so I find it quiet useful other than resilience considerations I don't think there is a broad purpose for general health and everyday life.

comment Combat sports weight-cut: How to handle the last 4 days?
I don't realy think you can make it less fun because the idea is dehydrating yourself to a point that is pretty much a level your body doesn't want you to go while limiting your food intake because you don't count calories anymore but grams in that timeframe. I know a guy who pretty much sleeps trough it (he claims 12-13h a day) but that is a somewhat unique technique I think.

sorry correct that 0.5 * 16h awake are 8l plus about 8 cups of coffee got confused with the 0.5l typing fast. I don't know if you can call it overloading but its a little more than double of what I do regularly

I agree: I made the biggest progress after I started logging my weight and training stats and tried to figure out what helped and what didn't from there. That information was much more valuable than any diet and training advise from books or internet because I knew which ones worked for me and which didn't. So I think telling someone to log the things they want to change and the paramters that influence them and try figure out what works for them and what doesn't is better advise than any detailed training and diet plan given without equally detailed information about that person.
