My name is Nikolay and I am 25 years old. I developed my love for training exactly 11 years ago. Ever since then I've been striving to improve my overall physical condition. I've gone a long way starting with weight lifting to end up working with my own body weight on the bar and rings. I hope I can share some of my knowledge and help you in your fitness and lifestyle journey! :)

How do I squat if I can't keep my heels on the floor? Adrian, thanks for recording the clip with the table. If you lean forward more than that do you feel that stretching I mentioned in my earlier post? Without lifting your heels of the ground I mean? |

What precautions to take when running in wintertime? I see, now that you have mentioned glasses, that's a good addition for winter running indeed. Sometimes my eyes start watering just because the wind could be too strong. |

What precautions to take when running in wintertime? When I was a child my parents would make me wear a hat that would cover my whole face except for my eyes. My face would be all warm but I would feel the cold only once I have taken the hat off. As for the breathing, there's this company that has developed special training masks that will hinder your breathing in order to expand the capacity of your lungs. You can control how much it will hinder of course. Link: trainingmask.com |

Is it a good idea to do really a lot of push-ups? Zero-divisor, thank you! I was about to say the same thing. Moses, the only times that I would get wrist pain from push-ups would be 1) when I skipped warming them up or 2) if I haven't done them in quite a while. And then I would switch to knuckle push ups, like you said that really spares the wrists! |

How do I get higher in a pullup? I thought it might not make sense the way I wrote it. What I meant is to place the band in a way where it helps him just for the very top part. :) |

Training upper body without stressing lower body Hello, no I mean that the body easily gets used to them. Then after a while the athlete will need to stay in the position for several minutes in order to feel anything in the abdominal area. Which will lead to endurance training and won't do much in terms of strength and muscle mass gains. I am sorry I did not make my point clear enough! |

Alternating between similar exercises I gotcha! The body will adapt to a certain exercise if you never vary it or your workout routines. If you do chin-ups today and rest for a day then do weighted chin-ups on your next workout, then that's going to be a different experience for the body. If you rest for another day after and on your next workout add resistance bands to challenge yourself with the chin-ups, it's still going to be something different for your body. This is how you can use one exercise but vary it in many different ways. |
