Fitness info addict. If I'm here it's probably because I'm procrastinating.

What's the relationship between gaining muscle mass and strength? How do I increase in strength without increasing in mass? This answer and this answer talk about the differences between myofibrilar and sarcoplasmic hypertrophy. |

Proper running form - landing on balls of feet? @Kate I linked one that says they should be avoided, can you link one that says the opposite? |

Proper running form - landing on balls of feet? Taking NSAIDs such as Advil and/or using ice has a negative effect on the lymphatic system's ability to remove damaged tissues from the area, and should be avoided (source). The proper treatment is MCE: Movement, compression, elevation. |

Can I train for 'mass' on some parts of my body, and 'strength' for others? @K.L. is right (see leg day meme). Myofibril and sarcoplasmic development will reflect the stimulus. Take a look at oly lifters. Huge backs and legs, solid as a brick, but relatively small chests. Look at this guy's back, or Klokov's back -- they're cavernous. Then compare them to, say, the Hodge twins. They have huge puffy chests, but torsos like twigs -- major "chest brahs". Personally I'd kill to have the physique of a 94kg oly lifter. |

Is there any benefit to using a recumbent over a stationary bike or vice versa? I usually mountain bike 50-100 miles per week in the summer and have never had this problem, nor heard of anyone having this problem. As @freiheit said, it seems like a fit problem. I find it bizarre that this is the accepted answer, given that there seem to be pretty substantial kinesiological differences between the two. |

Performance standards for curls and other small muscle exercises I think the estimations would have to have the same variation based on weight as provided by the Kilgore/Rippetoe/Pendlay standards you linked. I've never been a huge fan of these standards since they don't account for limb length... a 5'4" 90kg lifter is obviously going to have a bigger clean than a 6'2" 90kg lifter. Otherwise, if you are looking specifically for an estimation of standards for your own dimensions, you'd need to provide us with them. |
