Post workout carbs I've found some articles and it seems recent research suggests PWO carb intake might not be (as) beneficial as assumed by most body builders: musclehack.com/post-workout-carbs-crucial-or-counter-productive. I've also ditched PWO carbs when I started cutting and it seems I'm not alone. |

Post workout carbs I'm trying to find out whether simple carbs are really better PWO for muscle building (via creating an anabolic environment) as most body builders advocate, or if I should rather take complex carbs e.g. oatmeal, some fruit, rather take enough slow carbs before the workout or just skip the PWO carbs if I'm cutting. So the goal is to start muscle building (or at least spare muscle) PWO, without gaining fat from simple carbs. |

What is the correct form for a deadlift? One tip that helped me correct my deadlift is to imagine you're not pulling the weight, instead you're pushing your feets into the floor when you lift. |

How to calculate Body Fat % Scales utilizing bioelectrical impedance measurements are worthless. Worst of all, they usually need your age and height so that they can statistically compensate and give you adjusted BF values that are expected to be close to average values according to your age/gender/height. Try changing your age on such a scale, and you can divert results by 5-10%. |

How to replace the post-workout protein shake? I usually mix milk with water to make my whey protein shake (especially when I'm cutting); making it right before my training the shake won't spoil, though I live close (one block) to the gym. You could also just put a few ice cubes into your shake, or put it into the fridge for half an hour, this should make it last longer. |

Overtraining my legs doing both cardio and leg workouts My concern is that I don't give enough rest to my legs since on my off days I do interval training (running). So may it happen that doing a few sprints on the days between my weight training days interfere with my leg development? I see progress in my sprints and some improvement in my weight training as well. |

Do different workouts require different diets? Most sources I've encountered so far suggests eating within 40 minutes after working out. |

Muscle building exercises without looking like the Hulk, think toned and defined Very good answer. Proper form is especially important in case of some exercises like the deadlift or squat, where improper form might cause serious injuries (esp on the long term). Check out some videos on youtube or bodybuilding.com first to make sure you've got an idea on how to properly perform an exercise, or ask a trainer in the gym. |
