Can overtraining also occur during cardio exercise? You should do HIITS then. Endurance training will decrease your muscle size. To help fat loss, I'd look into your diet and create a small calorie deficit (nothing drastic) or tweaks (less carbs on off-days and substitute for protein to maintain daily calories) you want to make sure you have enough calories to get you through your work-outs. |

Why is it so hard to restart running if you stop? That's def. better than bone pain :) Assuming you are surgery-free and free of other medical conditions, it sounds like you just need to find your running rhythm. Keep running, your body will get used to it. I still don't recommend running through pain if you feel it. You ever hear the phrase "walk it off"? They don't say "run it off"...edited answer to remove bone pain ref. & added warming up since it's muscle pain |

Should my running be aerobic or anaerobic? If the goal is endurance, you should not be running high intensity intervals which is what it looks like from your heart rate rising and falling. For endurance, you run one pace for a long time. So yes if you want to improve endurance, you have to slow down and quit intervals. |

Can overtraining also occur during cardio exercise? Yes, aerobic activity increases endurance. I wouldn't call it a downfall, rather a side effect, but too much cardio eventually changes your muscle composition. What are your goals? |
