Lungs on Fire When Running Nice. I know many C25K graduates. Not everybody is a runner. I like to try every year and every time I train for a half-marathon (training also from coolrunning.com), I seem to always get injured after 6 miles. I have tried it 2X. I am definitely not built for endurance. Really my problem is that I can't control my brain and it thinks I can run faster than I should so I get injured. |

How to compensate for a brownie sundae? I had a cup of butter pecan ice cream just now LOL - We're getting into semantics with "normal" and "good" meals especially since we do not know the recipe of said "brownie sundae" - it could be a nice dark chocolate homemade recipe with whole wheat flour, lots of nuts, some veggies (just kidding), and no ice cream or whip cream. The biological process is the same - I'm just saying timing can help but depends on previous consumption. |

How to compensate for a brownie sundae? It depends. If your glycogen stores are already full, then the excess is stored as fat. "A normally balanced meal provides about 90 grams of glucose, mostly as polysaccharides. These are usually absorbed over a period of about 120 minutes. The glucose released from food is used as an immediate energy substrate and any excess will be stored as glycogen (and fat in the case of over-nutrition)." (See section: "After a good meal"). By having the sugary treat earlier in the day while u r active, you decrease the likelihood of fat storage. |

How to compensate for a brownie sundae? No it won't add hours to the day but the faster you burn the sugar the less likely it will convert to fat. |
