comment Are barbells really more beneficial than dumbbells?
Even to this day, I bench inclined barbell and flatbench dumbbells - and I'm not a small dude.

comment Are barbells really more beneficial than dumbbells?
IMHO dumbbells offer benefits over barbells. When I injured my shoulder, the only thing I could "bench" was dumbbells as they allowed my shoulder to move more naturally (opened up a little bit as I brought them down). Barbells keep your hand position locked in place which gives stability, but again, IMHO it is less of a natural movement. Finally, the act of balancing the dumbbells utilizes other muscles which may be under utilized with a barbell or over corrected by a stronger side.

"One often hears lower body accounts for 40% of total muscles mass. " I have never heard that before, do you have references?

Just to add that Moov (link above) just released the app for an Android. I'm one happy camper now!

I agree with @inquisitiveIdiot, I like the question and would love to hear responses but I don't think there could be ONE definitive answer which is a requirement for SE / SO.

comment What is the difference between rest and sleep? Can inactivity replace sleep?
there are studies done which says that you could "rest" and not fully sleep a little bit at a time all day long (I forgot, it was something like 5 minutes an hour?). However in practice, few people were able to keep it up greater than 6 months. I think part of it was, "nobody else is up at 3am, so what's the point?"

I hope a mod corrects me if I'm wrong. Your question is a product request and not a good fit for Physical Fitness SE. While I'm a bit confused on the particulars, I've seen questions like this closed here.

comment Is it okay to do workouts immediately after doing yoga?
Agreed, and when you truly understand why you are doing Yoga, it will be obvious that you would do them in this order. Yoga isn't just a fancy name for stretching :)

comment Does BMI really matter?
Please see @Kneel-Before-ZOD answer. We will agree to disagree at this point. I think it's total BS for healthy people.

comment Does BMI really matter?
@LegoStormtroopr that has not been my experience. It doesn't take in account your BF, it only looks at you age, height, weight, and physical activity. That's not a good way to measure health IMHO. However for the average person, it's a good guess.

comment Does BMI really matter?
No, BMI is pure BS. I was 250lbs and 7% bodyfat and I was morbidly obese when I went to my company's health evaluation (back in the day). I said, "yep, I'm dead."

@LarissaGodzilla exercise may be a stress reliever. But I agree with your assertion regarding the lack of context.

comment For bench press, should I use dumbbells, a barbell, or the Smith machine?
Yes, you should use all of them. However after ripping my rotor cuff, I never did flat bench with anything else but dumbbells. However I did a lot of incline barbell, which made my shoulders freakish. And incline benching 275 for reps as a bodybuilder was impressive among my peers :)

comment Should I be wearing socks with the Nike Hyperfeel?
@JohnP Agreed. Omar, just because this site may be the best fit or better than all of the other sites, does not mean that it should be asked here. Some questions are out of scope for every site. That's also why you can make your own on area51.stackexchange.com. Sorry, just because the square peg fits in the round hole, it doesn't imply that it belong there.

comment Good workout regimen for building muscle and losing fat?
I think you should rephrase that to "... losing fat". Unless there's a weight class you're trying to get into, losing weight and increasing muscle is like saying, "I want to lose weight and gain weight". Gaining muscle will help you lose fat, as you'll be burning more calories while attempting to gain muscle.
