Can psoas muscle cause lower back pain? @Ryan Just a quick update on my own condition: I think I can safely trace my pack pain back entirely to a tight psoas and/or tight quads. Whether I go for a run or after a day of rock climbing, if I do not thoroughly stretch these muscle groups I will suffer from back pain the next day. I also notice that my left muscles are much tighter than my right ones, which probably contributes to the problem. |

I thought saturated fat was bad, workoutmaster.com says otherwise? If there is one thing I am certain about, it is that for every type of food, there will be sources that claim it is good and sources that claim it is bad :-) |

Free materials and books about good posture / spinal cord anatomy Hold that thought, someone was faster than I: skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/8312/does-chi-exist |

Free materials and books about good posture / spinal cord anatomy You are asserting the existence of something (Chi) and assert that it has specific properties (regarding how it flows through the body). The burden of proof, therefore, lies with you. Note that I do not question the effectiveness of Tai Chi in itself, I only doubt that "Chi" is the explanation for it. You can be right about something for the wrong reasons. I suggest to move this exchange over to skeptics.stackexchange.com where I'll open a question about this right now. |

Free materials and books about good posture / spinal cord anatomy I wonder, are there also good references regarding Tai Chi exercises without the esoteric BS? There is no such thing as Chi energy flowing through the body. |

Fiber Menace - How scientific is this book? Maybe you shouldn't go from 0 to 100 with fiber. Your entire digestive system needs to make a switch... |

What should I eat to recover from eating only `raw' fruits and vegetables for 6 months? I think you got the healthy and the unhealthy curve just the other way round. The image caption clearly states that the dotted line refers to "before the diet", which makes sense as hypo = too little. |

What exercises are good to build up to performing chin-ups? And if you don't have access to such a machine, get a gym partner to assist you. And if your gym as a little bouldering cave (mine has, and I love it!) do some climbing there. |

How should I be exercising during the Ramadan? Are you sure that you aren't even allowed water? I strongly doubt that. |
