I've mostly done rear delt flys whilst seated on a weights bench, mainly just out of laziness as I didn't see much point in standing up while doing them.

I'm now thinking the standing / bent-over version might be better though, does it target more muscles like your lower traps and your lower back?

How are you doing rear delt flyes seated? Dumbbell RD flyes require you to bend forward until your torso is horizontal, so you could do them lying on a bench if it were high enough, but not sitting. Are you using cables, bands, or something else that can provide horizontal loading? Aug 15 at 6:38
