Mar 27, 2017 at 15:51 comment added Peabody Wow! Thanks for all the info! I hiked yesterday, sweated, and got awful cramps in my leg after, plus a headache. It occured to me it may be lack of salt. My diet is very good, naturally low salt unless i add it. During the cramp i drank a magnesium supplement, and it eased but didnt stop. I took a small pinch of salt and it went away. Drank hot salty broth and felt a great sense of wellbeing. Not scientific i know, and I am not going to go overboard with the salt, but this is very good to know.
