When doing exercises I am normally at home using a towel instead of a mat. The disadvantages are obvious, the towel slides over the floor when I am moving. I can't even place those parts of my body on the towel that support the stability of the exercises, otherwise I'd be only sliding around.
So at the moment the only use the towel has is to prevent sweat getting on the floor and my back from touching the bare floor.

That's why I want to buy an exercise mat. I just did a quick check on Amazon and it was like I expected, you get mats ranging from as cheap as 10€ to over 40€in all different price ranges.
